How to grow your Grass Head Doll:
- Soak: Place the entire doll in room-temperature water for about 30 minutes so it becomes thoroughly moist.
- Set it up: Remove it from the water and place it on a shallow plate or saucer.
- Keep moist: Water or lightly spray the top every day. Keep the growing area moist, but do not leave the doll waterlogged.
- Wait for sprouts: With suitable warmth and moisture, the grass usually begins sprouting in about 3–5 days.
- Add light: Once the grass is established, place it in a bright spot with gentle light. Avoid harsh all-day direct sun that can dry it too quickly.
- Style the hair: When the grass reaches around 9–10 cm, trim it with scissors and create your own hairstyle. Continue watering and it can regrow for more trimming fun.
Care tip: Germination speed can vary with room temperature, light and moisture. Keep the head consistently damp during the first days.

This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
